This treatment whitens your teeth over a period of 1-2 weeks, though the exact time will vary depending on your personal preference and your starting shade. The Enlighten whitening treatment involves two appointments, in the first, we will take moulds of your teeth and from this mould we will create custom-made trays unique to your teeth, so a perfect fit is ensured.

Whiten Whilst You Sleep!

We advise that you wear the trays at night whilst you sleep, as this allows the trays to stay tight and snug to your teeth, whilst minimising slippage! In the second appointment, we will bring you back into the practice, just to see how you’ve gotten on with the teeth whitening treatment and to see if you have got the shade you wanted!

1.Consultation

You meet one of our qualified dentists where information will be provided on the options available to ensure you are suitable for treatment.

2.Impressions

You sign a consent form to commence onto your impression stage, We take impressions of your teeth in a painless process, to create perfect fitting trays.

3. Treatment

2 weeks later, you return to Prettygate Dental for the fitting check of your custom trays and step by step training on how to use the whitening gel for at home treatment.

4. Return Visit

We review and assess your whitening shade progress providing support and guidance throughout. This is the part we enjoy as our patients come back happier than ever.
Your Questions Answered
How white will my teeth get?
Enlighten Whitening can whiten up to 16 shades, results vary but if used correctly all teeth will whiten dramatically.
Will they look too white?
No, natural teeth rarely look too white. Sometimes very white crowns can look wrong because they are made of porcelain.
Will my crowns, veneers or fillings change colour?
No, sometimes you may need to change some of these after whitening.
Is there pain or discomfort?
You may get some sensitivity, however your dentist will give you easy to use desensitising swabs to take home, which will work immediately. You will also receive a tube of Tooth Serum toothpaste to brush with, while you wait for your trays, this also helps with sensitivity.
How long does it take?
Two weeks after your dentist delivers your Enlighten Whitening trays. These are thin and comfortable and must be worn in bed for 14 nights, then on the 15th day you need to see your dentist for the second treatment which takes only 40 minutes.

 

How long does it last?
Results can last indefinitely with some very simple maintenance, wearing the trays for 1 night every other month. Continuing to brush with Evo-White will also prolong results.

Completely, the material used in Enlighten Whitening have been used in dentistry for over 100 years.
